This Unit Replaces
The AN01RNWXX is engineered as a replacement for these McLean, Hoffman, Pentair, and nVent models. Same capacity, same voltage — designed to get you back up and running fast.
Serviceability
Built for Technicians
Understanding the cost to deploy a truck, every VoltAire unit features a centralized electrical compartment accessed with a single 5/16” driver — a tool that’s already on your truck. When you remove the cosmetic cover, it reveals the Acrylume cabinet. Six screws on top and all your electronics are visibly laid out in the service tray. A bottom panel gives you access to the compressor and motors.
Unlike competitors where you might have to remove several components to access something buried inside, VoltAire units are designed so most repairs can occur without even taking the unit off the cabinet. We also use commonly available parts you’re likely already carrying, so you don’t have to overnight a special relay from the factory.
Watch: Easy to Service

Service Access Design
Remove Cosmetic Cover
Common Torx fastener reveals the Acrylume cabinet underneath.
Open Electrical Tray
Six screws on top. Compressor, board, contactors, fans all laid out visibly.
Access Compressor
Remove bottom panel for direct access to compressor and motor compartment.
Built to Last
Premium Materials. Uncompromising Durability.
Every component is selected for longevity in harsh outdoor environments. No shortcuts. No substitutions.
Acrylume Cabinet
Coated with a clear organic resin for superior corrosion resistance. Outperforms standard galvanized steel in salt fog environments.
ElectroFin E-Coated Condenser Coil
Dipped Modine Luvata E-Coat extends coil life in the harshest salt fog environments. Over 6,000 hours of salt spray testing.
Stainless Steel Hardware
All exterior fasteners, the drain pan, and evaporator pan are stainless steel. Every metal surface that contacts water is corrosion-proof.
Rosenberg EC Fans
Engineered in Germany, manufactured in France. High IP rating protects against dust and water ingress for extended service life.
Danfoss TXV
The only TXV manufacturer using stainless steel exterior with copper interior. We source exclusively from Danfoss for reliability.
Marine-Grade Aluminum Cover
Powder-coated 5052 marine-grade aluminum alloy cosmetic cover. Built for outdoor exposure in coastal and industrial environments.
Quality Assurance
5-Point Factory Testing
It takes longer to build units right. Every VoltAire unit undergoes an extensive testing and retesting process on the assembly line in Orlando, FL. Each unit has a “Traveler” — accompanying paperwork verified at every station with fresh eyes.
Nitrogen Burst
Pressurized to 425 PSI to verify all brazes and connections are solid.
Helium Leak Test
The gold standard. Helium is the smallest particle — smaller than R-134A molecules — finding microscopic leaks invisible to other methods.
Vacuum Decay
Circuit pulled to 20 microns. Solenoid tripped. Plateau monitored — must stay below 500 microns to pass.
Second Vacuum Decay
A second independent vacuum decay test on a separate system. When passed, the unit is charged with refrigerant.
Refrigerant Leak
Fully charged, the unit undergoes a final sniffer test ensuring zero refrigerant leaks in the system.
Why helium leak testing matters: Helium atoms are smaller than any refrigerant molecule, making helium the only gas capable of detecting microscopic leaks that would go unnoticed with standard pressure testing. It’s the same method used in aerospace and medical device manufacturing — and it’s standard on every VoltAire unit.
Watch: Quality, Start to Finish
What goes into a cabinet cooler that lasts — materials, assembly, and testing.
Standard Equipment
Digital Temperature Control Board
Every VoltAire unit ships with a 10-position DIP switch control board — no mechanical thermostats. Adjustable cooling setpoints from 72–93°F, configurable hysteresis, deadband, and alarm differential. Built-in anti-short-cycling protection prevents compressor damage.
If the board ever fails in the field, you can wire up a standard mechanical thermostat as a temporary bypass while a replacement ships — keeping your enclosure protected without waiting for parts.
Watch: Temperature Control Board Functions
VoltAire manufacturing walks through the digital control board — setpoints, alarms, and how each function works.
Remote Monitoring
The AN01 is the one VoltAire unit that doesn't support the Ethernet controller — its compact board takes an external thermostat instead. If remote Modbus/SNMP/BACnet monitoring is a requirement, step up to the AN02 — every other VoltAire unit supports it.
